Our story
We are health-conscious parents to a young child and a baby, who are always looking for healthy, less-toxic, more-natural alternatives. As we discovered, nearly all the "healthy" products still contain harmful ingredients and are packaged in endocrine-disrupting plastic. With the growing research showing the harmful effect of these ingredients, and an ever-growing number of people waking up to this, we decided to start making health products we wanted to use ourselves, and people can happily use with complete confidence that all the products are truly natural, non-toxic, with only ingredients and packaging we are proud, and products that we use on our own children.
Our beliefs
We believe that the key to overall health is ensuring happy, balanced hormones by ensuring that the endocrine system is functioning properly. We believe that human bodies are extremely powerful, and that our bodies all have the innate ability to thrive and heal, but unfortunately the "environment” is often not conducive. The environment - which includes anything from the food and drink we consume to the chemicals our skin absorbs, and the air we breathe. Toxics are added in every part of the distribution chain, through microplastics in sorting, storage, transportation and production. Exposure to plastic has been shown to disrupt our hormones.
Most products marketed as being “natural, healthy” or “good for the planet” do not fit that description when examining the ingredients and packaging. They still contain toxic ingredients, such as preservatives, flavourings, colorants, perfumes, and fragrances, just to name a few, all of these have been shown to either disrupt our microbiome or endocrine system. The same can be said about the plastic they are packaged in.
Health starts with removing these harmful factors and ensuring exposure to the beneficial ones. That tried-and-tested, old school, traditional methods are far superior to unproven, over-processed modern methods designed to enhance their commercial appeal at the expense of our health and general well-being, even those “greenwashed” products masquerading as natural.
Our mission
Our mission is to restore your power to claim truly health. We want health to be accessible to everyone. And we want to do this by making non-processed, healthy, non-toxic products more readily available. By helping spread information about what is healthy and what is disrupting your health by disrupting your endocrine system, and offering truly non-toxic alternatives, we want to spread the message and empower people.
Our mission is to avoid plastic, not just in our own packaging and shipping, but also sourcing from distributors who don't use plastic. All our cookware, bowls, storage, and counters are non-plastic (stainless steel, glass or ceramic) This is both good for the planet and the consumer.
Our mission is to never use any harmful ingredients such a preservatives, colorants, flavourings, perfumes and fragrances, as well as any toxic chemical and anything else that has been highly processed or shown to disrupt our endocrine system. Again good for the planet and good for the consumer.
Our mission is to use the best quality natural ingredients, that are organic and local wherever possible.
Our mission is to make a positive impact. 10 percent of all online sunscreen sales will be donated to The Litter-boom project to help remove more plastic from the system.
