Beef tallow refers to fat rendered from cows. Beef tallow is the perfect base for any skin cream, tallow contains vitamins A, B12, D, E & K. This combination of beneficial vitamins are only found together in animal products The fatty acid profile of grassfed tallow is a near perfect match to our sebum, helping lock in nutrients and moisture without clogging pores or leaving skin feeling oily or greasy. We only use kidney fat from grassfed cows. We render our tallow in-house to ensure consistent quality. Kidney fat is rendered using the lowest possible temperature, with purified water and salt to help remove any impurities in the fat. Our tallow is triple-rendered and purified to ensure the purest tallow with zero beef-scent. The way in which tallow is rendered can have huge differences in the smell and feel of the product.
Our kidney fat is sourced from grassfed, free range cows in South Africa that are 100% hormone-free and never given routine antibiotics.

For UV filter, non nano zinc oxide is the only safe option for human health, as well as the safest option for ocean life (shown not to harm marine or coral life). Non-Nano means it is larger than 100nm and therefore will not penetrate the skin.
We only use uncoated non nano zinc oxide sourced from South Africa.
 

Coconut oil has anti-inflammatory, antibacterial, anti-fungal and antiviral properties. It has low natural SPF and is great for moisturizing dry skin. Our coconut oil is organic, cold pressed extra virgin grown by our African neighbours in Mozambique.

It is not just a natural SPF packed with beneficial vitamins for the skin, but also a natural moisturizer, having antioxidant and antibacterial properties. Has anti-inflammatory and antimicrobial properties, helps form a protective barrier around the skin, helping locking moisture in and forming a protect barrier to keep environmental damage out. One of the reason its great to put on our sunscreens before swimming in chlorine pools, even if the pool is completely covered indoors. Our beeswax is 100 percent pure and unprocessed, sourced locally in South Africa.

Remains liquid even at low temperatures, the perfect addition to help with the spreadability of the sunscreen, without leaving your skin feeling oily. While most of the antibacterial, antiviral and anti-fungal properties of virgin Coconut oil are missing in fractionated oil, it retains all the Capric and Caprylic acids responsible for hydrating, moisturizing, soothing and smoothing the skin.

MCT oil is produced by separating fatty acids in coconut oil, by heating oils slowly until it melts, and then cooled, the long chain fatty acid solidifies, while the medium chains remain liquid. These liquids are removed and are known as MCT oil.

Our MCT oil is made from 100 percent organic virgin coconut oil, with zero palm oil.

Vitamin E is an antioxidant that will help extend the shelf life of tallow by dramatically slowing oxidation and rancidity, but because it is not a preservative, it will do little to inhibit microbial growth and spoilage in products that contain water. Being an oil based product, we do not require a preservative. Vitamin E may also several benefits for the skin; powerful antioxidant, helps absorb UVB rays, is a great moisturizer and is anti-inflammatory. Our vitamin e is sourced from the UK and made using non gmo soybean.
